When you receive your new card
• Upon receiving your card, sign it in the special box provided on its reverse side. The use of the card is strictly personal.
• Memorize your PIN and never keep it together with your card.
• If you wish to change your PIN, avoid setting a number that can be easily predictable, such as your birth date, your car's license plate, etc.
• Never disclose your PIN to anyone; it is strictly personal. You should not disclose it even if you are asked by the Authorities, by a relative or by people pretending to be employees of the Bank.

At the ATM
• Be careful when using an ATM, especially at night. Observe the surroundings – if the ATM’s lighting is not sufficient or very low, if the ATM is hidden behind an obstacle (e.g. a parked truck) or located in a remote spot, etc., avoid using it. Prefer using ATMs located indoors.
• In order to enter into the ATM areas of the branches of all banks, it is not required to key in your PIN. The only thing you need to do is to place your card in the designated slot.
• If you use an in lobby ATM, avoid having someone unknown to you enter the ATM area at the same time.
• Be very careful during the transaction. If there is a next customer, make sure that he or she is at a safe distance and cannot recognize what number you have entered. If there is somebody else ahead of you, make sure that you keep a reasonable distance from him or her. Use your body in such a way that the transaction is shielded from them.
• Have your card ready; avoid rummaging through your bag or wallet to locate it.
• Make sure that nobody is observing you while you are entering your PIN and/or the amount of the transaction at the ATM. While you are entering your PIN, always shield your hand with your other hand or a piece of paper or an object. By doing so, you prevent others from seeing your PIN.
• Do not accept help from people you do not know and do not disclose your PIN to anyone who claims that he or she is an employee of a bank or some other body and offers to help you. Banks never assign such duties to their employees or to third parties.
• If you notice anything suspect, cancel your transaction immediately, and get away from that particular ATM. Notify your bank as soon as possible, only at the phone numbers appearing on the ATM’s screen, and confirm that the transaction has been cancelled.
• Do not leave your transaction receipt behind at the ATM. We recommend that you keep the receipts, in order to compare them with the monthly statement of your account.
• Change your PIN regularly. You have this option through the ATM screen.
• Please note the telephone numbers of Millennium bank Contact Center: 801 11 95500 (city call charge throughout Greece) or (+30) 210 9557500 from a cell phone or from outside Greece, in order to be able to contact us in case of an emergency. If you are at a Millennium bank branch, use the phone located next to the indoor ATM, to connect directly to the bank.

When making purchases
• During your transaction, never lose visual contact with the merchant.
• Do not disclose any personal data to the merchant when using your card, other than showing your ID card if you are requested to do so.
• Check the purchase receipt prior to signing it, to confirm that the value of the transaction is the correct one.
• After your transaction is complete, do not forget to get your card back, as well as the copy of your receipt.
• Do not leave your card in the car, even in places that are not visible, such as the glove compartment. According to statistical data, a significant percentage of stolen credit cards were taken from inside a car.

On the phone
• When you use your card over the phone, only give its number if you feel certain that the enterprise from which you wish to purchase the service or the product has a good reputation.
• Maybe you will be asked to provide the CVV code – this is comprised of the three digits at the end of your card’s number, on the reverse side of the card, where you have signed it. Give this code to the merchant, but never disclose your PIN.
